About Jerry
Growing up in a greenhouse family exposed me to horticulture from a young age resulting in a life-long interest in all things plant related. My horticultural education at the University of Guelph, along with extensive experience in the Greenhouse, Dutch Flower Bulb, and Nursery industries has provided me with a well-rounded working knowledge that I can draw from as I work with clients to create their desired outdoor space.
Designing for Sustainability
The environment and sustainability are rightfully hot topics today. Our environment has been adversely affected by short sighted human intervention. The landscapes we design can be important contributors to creating a more sustainable environment. The use of native plant material will encourage the growth of wildlife. Thoughtful hardscape design will incorporate rainwater management and reduce water runoff.
Designing with a balance of native and non-native plants will both maintain the client’s desired, aesthetically pleasing, design style and enhance the biodiversity and sustainability of the landscape.
